The Meer Foundation, founded by Shah Rukh Khan, has reached out to the family of Delhi hit-and-run victim Anjali Singh. She was assassinated in Delhi in the early hours of the New Year.
The Meer Foundation, founded by actor Shah Rukh Khan, has made a donation to the family of Anjali Singh, a 20-year-old Delhi hit-and-run victim. According to a source, Meer Foundation stepped out and provided an unknown amount to her family. Anjali was killed in a hit-and-run on New Year’s Eve in Delhi’s Kanjhawala neighbourhood.
According to reports ANI, Anjali was the primary earner for her mother and siblings. The Meer foundation seeks to assist the family, particularly the mother, with her health concerns while also offering enough assistance to her siblings.
Anjali was murdered in the early hours of the New Year when her scooter was hit by a car and dragged for almost 12 kilometres on the city’s highways.
The case’s seven defendants are presently in the custody of Delhi Police. “In the Sultanpuri case, the sixth accused, Ashutosh, was apprehended for providing false information to the police. More research is being conducted “Sagar Preet Hooda, Special Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) of the Delhi Police, stated on Friday as quated by ANI.
Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun, and Manoj Mittal, the other five suspects in the case, were detained previously. The five were driving the car that Ashutosh had lent them. The case is being probed by 18 different Delhi Police departments.
The Meer Foundation is not the first to stand forward to help others. During that year’s migration crisis, the NGO promised to assist the boy who pulled on his deceased mother at Muzaffarpur railway station in June 2020.
The Meer Foundation posted a photo of the child with his grandparents, stating that it is concerned for his well-being. “#MeerFoundation is appreciative to anybody who helped us discover this youngster, whose heart wrenching video of attempting to wake his mother stunned everybody. “We are now supporting him, and he is being cared after by his grandfather,” the organisation stated in a statement.
“”Thank you everyone for connecting us with the small one,” Shah Rukh said at the time. We all hope he finds the courage to cope with his parent’s terrible demise. I completely understand how you feel… “We adore and support you, sweetheart.”
