Salman Khan requested to be a part of the movie, but Sooraj Barjatya declined.

The trailer for Uunchai was released on Tuesday, October 18, following back-to-back character posters that introduced the actors. Uunchai, directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya, will be released in theatres in November. It was produced by his in-house company Rajshri Productions in collaboration with Mahaveer Jain Films and Boundless Media. Salman Khan wants to be a part of the movie, Barjatya said during the premiere of the trailer.

Salman questioned me as I was making it, “Sooraj, what are you making?” and “Why are you going to the hills?” He also added, “I can do this film,” after that. I refused! Because, as we all know, he is a mountain climber. At the Tuesday premiere of the clip, the director remarked, “But I needed guys who can seem as though they can’t.”

Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya have been friends even before Khan made his lead acting debut in Maine Pyar Kiya for Rajshri Productions. He later went on to star in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Hum Saath Saath Hai, and Hum Aapke Hai Koun.

Sooraj Barjatya remarked, “Honestly speaking, this is the first time I’m making a picture like this, breaking away from my expensive family-centric films. In 2016, author Sunil informed me that the movie was about four pals who were all above 65. They told a funny tale about their journey to the Everest base camp. When I heard it, I realised it was more like life than what he called death. The topic didn’t go away from me. I made the decision to accept my hardest challenge during the pandemic when we were all facing our difficulties. You won’t see a wedding or any other formal events in the trailer. Though I tried to put on my temples.

The friendships in Uunchai’s story provide its foundation. Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Sarika, Neena Gupta, and Parineeti Chopra, promises to celebrate emotion, relationships, and age. Danny Denzongpa and Nafisa Ali Sodhi also make notable appearances. The release of Uunchai is scheduled for November 11, 2022.
