Yoga is very essential for the total well-being of your body. Nowadays, many people are trying different types of yoga asanas and stretching to help boost their health as well as immunity. It is said that there are particular yoga asanas that may take care of various disorders and parts of the body. So, it is very important to follow a schedule every day persistently.
Yoga can do wonders for your body like, improving the posture, targeting particular muscle groups, bones etc. Furthermore, it can also provide strength to your brain and make it a sharper and more focused one, providing emotional stability, boost in the mood, and so on.
However, there are many myths around it, which stops people from practicing them. Anushka Parwani, who is the yoga instructor to Bollywood actors such as Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, rejected some myths in an Instagram reel.

1. If you want to practice yoga, you have to be flexible
This is not true, because if you do regular practice you can improve your flexibility. Yoga functions on your muscles and stretches your muscles, improving flexibility. But the main thing is, you have to be regular.
2. Only younger people can perform yoga
This is also false, as yoga has got nothing to do with your age.
3. Yoga is just for women
Men can also do yoga, and children too. It is a fitness routine and is without any gender-barrier.
4. Yoga is with regard to your physical ability
No, it’s wrong. Yoga can make you physically able to perform various, even complex, asanas in about sometime.
5. If you are suffering from any health condition, you are not able to do yoga
Talk to your doctor about what type of asanas can be done by you. Yoga can provide relief from various health problems.
Some times before, while talking to a popular news channel, a leading health guru and life coach Dr. Mikey mehta has told that there are some myths that any person having 80 or above age cannot perform yoga. Or a child who is 2 years of age should never do yoga. Somebody suffering from a backache should also not perform yoga etc. “Yoga is for all, The perspective is sensible and intelligent. Please, do not perform it for losing weight, or only for improving immunity. Perform it to get a purpose in your life and for development,”he had told.
