The next hearing in KRK’s Manoj Bajpayee-filed defamation action would be on January 17 if the MP court does not grant him relief.

The actor Manoj Bajpayee filed a defamation lawsuit, but the court did not provide KRK any redress. This is what transpired.
In a defamation action brought by actor Manoj Bajpayee against actor Kamal Rashid Khan, often known as KRK, the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court did not grant relief. According to a report, he asked for the Manoj case to be dismissed.

After hearing both parties last week, Justice Satyendra Kumar Singh of the Indore District Court dismissed KRK’s argument under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. According to the court, Manoj’s reputation and image were damaged by the comments expressed in a tweet at first look.

According to PTI, the court’s judgment stated, “In this instance, the tweets in question mostly reflect the respondent’s personality (Manoj Bajpayee). However, whether or whether the tweets were sent with the purpose to damage the respondent’s character depends on the facts and cannot be assessed by this court using the inherent powers granted by section 482 of the CrPC.”

On the instruction of the Indore district court, a defamation case was brought against KRK in July of this year under section 500 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). It was done in response to Manoj’s complaint, which said that two tweets from KRK on July 26 of last year damaged his reputation and image. According to KRK’s attorney, he cannot be held accountable because he sold the Twitter account from which these messages were sent on October 22, 2020.

The sale of the Twitter handle cannot be taken into consideration at this time in the trial, according to Manoj’s attorney. On Monday, his attorney Paresh Joshi said that his client had already recorded a statement for the case that had been submitted to the Indore district court.

He stated that January 17 will be the date of the subsequent hearing.
