Tunisha Sharma’s family has released a statement informing the actor’s fans, admirers, and well-wishers that her last rituals would be performed on Tuesday. Tunisha was discovered dead on the set of her Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul series on Saturday. According to news agency ANI, the cause for Tunisha’s action was her separation with co-actor Sheezan Khan over a week ago.
Tunisha’s family published a statement late Monday evening. “Our lovely Tunisha Sharma,” it said. We regret to tell you that Tunisha Sharma departed us for heavenly home on December 22, 2014. We want everyone to attend and say their final goodbyes to the departed soul.” Her last rituals will be held at the Mira Road crematory. At 3 p.m., the last rituals will commence.
Tunisha’s ex-boyfriend Sheezan is presently in police jail for allegedly aiding and abetting the actor’s suicide. He was detained on Sunday and sent to court in Vasai, where he was held in police detention until Wednesday.
Earlier, actor Vineet Raina told news agency ANI that if the late actor’s mother claimed she committed suicide owing to stress from her split with Sheezan Khan, the authorities should look into the matter thoroughly. Raina made the statement after Tunisha’s mother accused Sheezan, the key suspect in her daughter’s death, of cheating on her and breaking his vow to marry her. She pleaded with the cops not to spare him.
Vineet explained Tunisha and Sheezan to ANI “I never seen them fighting. Whatever was going on between them was happening outside on sets. They were quite professional. I have faith in the Mumbai police, and they will thoroughly investigate this issue. It was heartbreaking to learn of the occurrence. She had such a bright future ahead of her. It was quite unfortunate. I was taken aback.”
Tunisha previously appeared in the TV serial Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. She has also appeared in movies such as Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho.
